MARCO ISLAND, Fla.—The Tire Industry Association (TIA) has revised the agenda of its 2014 Off-the-Road Tire Conference, scheduled for the Marco Island Marriott Resort & Golf Club, Feb. 19-22. Unlike in past years, the 2014 OTR conference will have its opening session Wednesday afternoon, Feb. 19, followed by the kickoff gathering, TIA said. The morning session on Feb. 20 will feature OTR production numbers and be followed by the Thursday afternoon golf tournament. On Friday, Feb. 21, there will be a morning general session including keynote address and a motivational speaker, followed by the networking lunch, afternoon breakout sessions and the gala dinner. The program ends Saturday morning, Feb. 22, with the farewell breakfast and golf awards. The change in the agenda will give attendees additional opportunities to set up meetings with customers, and also to take advantage of the resort's beach activities and other amenities, according to TIA Events Committee Chair Tom Formanek. TIA is offering an early bird registration rate for TIA members of $395 for the first registrant from a company and $325 for additional registrants until Aug. 31. After that, the rates rise to $425 for the first registrant and $355 for further registrants. More than half of the allocated room block at the Marco Island Marriott is already reserved, TIA said. The conference room rate is $205 per night for a gulf-view room. To register for the conference, visit the “Events” section of TIA's website at www.tireindustry.org. To reserve a room, call 1-800-GET-HERE (438-4273) by Jan. 17, 2014, and mention the Tire Industry Association OTR conference to get the special room rate.
