    FINDLAY, Ohio (Aug. 13, 2013) — Tire Dealer's Warehouse (TDW), a division of Hercules Tire & Rubber Co., will exclusively be carrying two Nexen Tire product lines.

    Hercules said Nexen Nblue ECO AH01 and the Nexen NFera SU4 tires will be distributed in the U.S. through TDW's 14 warehouse locations and through Hercules's network of independent wholesalers.

    The Nblue Eco is an eco-friendly, high-performance all-season tire, Hercules said, that combines green technologies including LRR full silica compound and construction design to reduce the tire's rolling resistance, resulting in good energy efficiency.

    Other features include:

    • Longer mileage achieved by applying the silica and advanced material compounding technology;
    • Computer-designed tread blocks to prevent irregular wear and provide a longer tread life;
    • Computer-optimized random variable pitch blocks to reduce noise generation, resulting in a quiet and comfortable ride;
    • Low-rolling-resistance silica compound and cavity profile to help lower fuel consumption and CO2 emissions while improving fuel efficiency to create energy savings.

    Hercules said the NFera SU4 is an ultra-high-performance asymmetric summer tire designed for optimum driving, including on wet surfaces.

    Its features include:

    • Optimal structure and blocks to deliver stable performance;
    • Enhanced steering response during high-speed cornering;
    • New compound to deliver excellent energy efficiency without sacrificing mileage.

    "We know that these two lines are the perfect complement to our existing product offering and will allow our customers to have an advantage in the marketplace," said Josh Simpson, Hercules Tire vice president of marketing.

    He said these tires will add to the "eco-friendly tire options" that TDW customers are requesting.

    "There's a long history with Nexen and TDW/Hercules that dates back over 20 years. TDW was a pioneer in the very beginning that helped Nexen penetrate the marketplace," said John Aben, vice president of sales and marketing for Nexen Tire. "Producing these two products for TDW/Hercules to distribute through their sales channel makes for good business and only strengthens our partnership."
