BETHESDA, Md. (Aug. 9,. 2013) — The Automotive Aftermarket Industry Association (AAIA) will host on Sept. 18 the first of five free 30-minute webinars on the provisions of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) that go into effect in 2014.
The seminar, which is scheduled for 11 a.m. EDT, will cover employee eligibility for Health Insurance Exchanges. Anita Baker, managing partner for employee benefit plans at CliftonLarsonAllen L.L.P., will host.
Effective Oct. 1, 2013, the ACA mandates that all U.S. employers must provide notification to employees regarding their eligibility for Health Insurance Exchanges. The notice must include information about the existence of the state and federal marketplaces, the services they offer and how to contact them.
In the webinar, participants will learn the current status of the marketplaces, who can purchase insurance from them, what insurance options they have, what types of subsidies are available and how to communicate this information to employees.
