RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif. (Aug. 1, 2013) — GITI Tire (USA) Ltd. has introduced the GT Radial Adventuro AT3 for drivers desiring a comfortable on-road ride with off-road capabilities in mud, sand, and snow.

The light truck/SUV tire, being rolled out for the North American market, is backed by a 50,000-mile limited tread wear warranty (for P-metric sizes only). The new-generation all-terrain tire is available in 20 R, S and T speed-rated sizes for 15- to 20-inch rims. GITI Tire said it fits a broad selection of the most popular pick-ups and SUVs on the road today, including the Ford F Series and Expedition, Chevrolet Silverado and Suburban, GMC Sierra and Yukon, Dodge Ram and Durango, Toyota FJ Cruiser and Tundra.

The GT Radial Adventuro AT3 features advanced technology including optimized contour and construction, which helps absorb impact shock and vibration from the road, according to the tire marketer, and is the result of the company's finite element analysis simulation process. A tread pattern comprising five pitches with different dimensions greatly reduces pattern noise by interrupting resonance, GITI said.

Two longitudinal grooves cross through angled lateral grooves to evacuate water efficiently, while improved grip on soft surfaces is provided by an S-shaped central rib. Interlaced grooves and sipes add to enhanced off-road handling, the company said.

Other features include a jointless nylon cap ply to stabilize the tire for greater control, a durable polyester carcass that maintains the tread profile and minimizes deformation, and a single strand bead wire for improved bead uniformity and durability.

David Shelton, marketing director for GITI Tire USA, said the Adventuro AT3 has been "engineered to deliver the benefits consumers expect from an on- and off-road tire."
