LENOIR CITY, Tenn. (July 23 2013) — Love's Travel Stops & Country Stores is celebrating hitting 300 stores with the addition of its newest travel stop, in Lenoir City.
The company will mark the occasion by hosting a grand opening event for its customers and the community at the Lenior City location on Interstate 40 at exit 364.
Love's said the event includes appearances by FrontRow Motorsports NASCAR drivers David Gilliland (No. 38) and David Ragan (No. 34) with the Love's Travel Stops-sponsored race car and a ribbon-cutting event with the Loudon County Chamber of Commerce.
"The celebration of our 300th store opening is a momentous occasion for Love's, our customers and the community of Lenoir City," said Tom Love, founder and CEO of Love's Travel Stops.
"This event shows our continued growth and dedication to the communities that make our business possible."
Love's will present the community with a $15,000 donation toward the restoration of Lenoir City's downtown War Memorial building, the company said, and a $2,000 donation for constructing a handicapped-accessible community park.
Love's employees from stores in the region are also holding a volunteer event repainting picnic tables at the Lenoir City Park. The volunteer effort was coordinated with the help of the city's Parks and Recreation Department.
Messrs. Gilliland and Ragan will sign autographs and take photos with fans between 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. on July 23. The volunteer event was to begin at 4:30 p.m. at the Lenoir City Park, according to Oklahoma City-based Love's.
