GREENVILLE, S.C.—Michelin North America Inc. is voluntarily recalling approximately 100,000 Mich-elin-brand touring and light truck tires to retrieve an estimated 2,500 tires that could have partial or full sidewall perforations that could cause them to experience loss of air pressure.

The recall involves certain sizes of the Michelin LTX M/S2, X Radial LT2 and Latitude Tour tires built at the company's plant in Lexington, S.C., during periods between the 38th week of 2012 and the 21st week of 2013, and sold primarily in the U.S., Canada and Mexico.

No injuries or accidents have been reported in connection with the recalled tires, Michelin said, although the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's tire recall database shows multiple complaints filed on all three tires. Michelin did not elaborate on what caused the problems that prompted it to recall these tires, but it said it has identified and fixed the issue. The tires being recalled are:

    • LTX M/S2—P275/55R20 111T RBL, DOT B99Y56EX, manufacture dates 3812 to 2113; P265/-65R18 112T, DOT B9XP001X, 0513 to 2113; and P265/60R18 109T ORWL, DOT B95E788X, 1513 to 2113.
    • X Radial LT2—P265/65R18 112T, DOT B9KA003X, 0513 to 2113; and P275/55R20 111T, DOT B99Y001X, 0513 to 2113.
    • Latitude Tour—P255/60R19 108S, DOT B9R1W3WX, 1913 to 2113; and P255/70R18 112T, DOT B9YU99CX, 1313 to 2113.
