FORT MILL, S.C. (July 11, 2013) — The "2013 General Tire Mint 400, presented by Polaris" is now available to rent or purchase through Apple iTunes.
The special two-hour digital version of the primetime television show "captures the most dynamic and thrilling off-road racing on the planet—at the most prestigious and challenging off-road race in America," Continental Tire the Americas L.L.C. said.
The 2013 General Tire Mint 400, presented by Polaris, is available through Apple iTunes.
According to the "plot summary" on Apple's iTunes site, the Mint 400—known as "The Great American Off-Road Race"—is the "oldest, roughest, most spectacular" off-road race in America.
The event was started in Las Vegas in 1967 and, the summary says, "became the marquee off-road race that every racer and celebrity dreamt of winning" yet fewer than half of those competing will ever finish. It noted that the 2013 race "was an epic clash" among 250 race vehicles in 25 different classes.
The documentary—a Martelli Brothers film produced by Mad Media—features 4K and HD cinematography capturing "bumper-to-bumper battling," the summary adds.
The Mint 400 is part of the Best in The Desert Off-Road Championship.
