BROOKLINE, Mass. (July 8, 2013) — TireTattoo, an aftermarket automotive accessory company that has developed a series of glue-on tire "tattoo" emblems, is offering a Boston Strong design to benefit victims of the Boston Marathon bombings.
"As Boston residents and local businesspeople, the TireTattoo team would like to show our support for the victims of the tragedy at the Boston Marathon," said John Parla, a spokesman for Brookline-based TireTattoo. "We think that the Boston Strong Tire Tattoo is the perfect way to express our motto — 'Let Your Ride Show Your Pride,'"
Tire tattoos are small rubberized peel-and-stick emblems that attach to the sidewall of a tire. The company offers tattoos with logos of some Major League Baseball teams, including the New York Yankees and Mets, Boston Red Sox, Los Angeles Dodgers and Chicago Cubs.
TireTattoo said it will pledge $1 for every Boston Strong TireTattoo sold to The One Fund for marathon victims.
The Boston Strong tattoo is priced at $5.99 and is available at www.tiretattoo.com.
