AKRON (June 14, 2013) — The managing directors of the Tire Retread & Repair Information Bureau (TRIB) and Retread Tire Association (RTA) will be featured speakers at the Asian Tyre & Rubber Conference (ATRC), June 21-22 in Chennai, India.
The event is billed as Asia's biggest conference exclusively devoted to tires and rubber.

TRIB Managing Director David Stevens' ATRC presentation is entitled, "Overview of the Global Retreading Industry and Results from TRIB's Chamber Fire Study."
"The theme of the conference, 'Technology Advancements and Innovation: Road to a Green Planet,' is a natural fit with TRIB's mission to promote the economic and environmental benefits of tire repair and retreading," Mr. Stevens said. "It is an honor to be invited by Polymers & Tyre Asia to speak at this prestigious event."
Harvey Brodsky, RTA managing director, will be presenting for the second time at the ATRC—he presented at the first conference in 2011. Mr. Brodsky's presentation is titled, "Why Retreading Is Going to Grow and Prosper in India and Elsewhere and How You Can Make It Happen."
"I have sat through too many long PowerPoint presentations that nearly put me to sleep, including some of my own, which is why I now keep my presentations short and informal. But by doing so I have been able to engage the audience and keep them interested until my final slide," Mr. Brodsky said.
"…Although my presentations are informal, my message is always serious and I will discuss how retreading can play an important part in the theme of the conference…."
