BROADVIEW, Ill. — Robert Bosch L.L.C. is marking its 100th anniversary of producing alternators and starters with the unveiling of 15 additions to its line of remanufactured products.
The new part numbers for the Professional Preferred line of remanufactured alternators and starters cover Audi/VW, BMW, Mercedes, Mini, Porsche, Saab and Volvo vehicles.
The new part numbers are listed in Bosch's ACES/PIES catalog for June, however many of these SKUs are not available through other remanufactured parts suppliers at this time, the company said.
Bosch said the remanufactured alternators and starters are equipped with many new components, including factory-installed OE clutch pulleys for alternators where applicable. The parts are covered by Bosch's two-year warranty and two-year, free emergency roadside assistance program.
"Bosch has been involved with starting and charging systems since 1913 when Robert Bosch introduced the first voltage-regulating generator that ultimately laid the foundation for the 'electrification' of the automobile," said Edwin Bender, director, product management, rotating electrical for Bosch Automotive Aftermarket, North America. "The introduction of these new part numbers represents Bosch's continued commitment to providing the independent aftermarket with the parts they need to service modern European automobiles."
