DENVER (May 28, 2013) — Schrader International Inc. has appointed Ramin Younessi to its board of directors.
The manufacturer of sensing and valve solutions for the automotive and industrial industries said Mr. Younessi brings more than 26 years of global business leadership in the commercial vehicle and engine industry to the company's board. "His technical, product development and strategic expertise will be leveraged as the company continues to advance its valve, sensor and tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) capabilities to new applications and market segments," Schrader said.
Hugh Charvat, Schrader president and CEO, said Mr. Younessi's "extensive technological and global business expertise will be a great asset to Schrader as we continue to develop and invest in future valve and sensing technologies. We are very grateful that he is joining Schrader's board of directors.

Mr. Younessi formerly served as group vice president of product development at Navistar Inc, a global manufacturer of commercial vehicles and diesel engines. In this role he led global engine and truck engineering, product planning, quality and the integration with the purchasing function to create an integrated product development organization.
Mr. Younessi also served as general manager and chief engineer in charge of product validation at Daimler Trucks, according to Denver-based Schrader, and he held numerous domestic and international executive positions in engineering, program management, strategy, marketing and production planning. He also formally served on the board of directors at Mahindra-Navistar Automotive as well as Blue Diamond.
