Del-Nat adds 2 staffers
MEMPHIS, Tenn.—Del-Nat Tire Corp. has named Mike Burns marketing manager and Nicole Lau staff accountant.
The independent Memphis-based dealer cooperative said Mr. Burns, a New Jersey native, previously worked for Bridgestone Retail Operations where he served in store management for eight years.
Ms. Lau, a Toronto native, is a recent cum laude graduate of the University of Memphis.
Del-Nat operates a network of 80 dealer/distributors/stockholders. Its private brands include Delta and National passenger, light truck and SUV tires; Sentinel passenger, UHP and light truck tires; and Chaparral light truck lines. Del-Nat also handles Akuret commercial tires for farm, OTR, truck and trailer applications.
CMA hires fleet mgrs.
MONROVIA, Calif.—China Manufacturers Alliance L.L.C. (CMA) has hired John Ramaika and Tom Rozuk to be regional fleet managers for the firm's Double Coin brand.
CMA said Mr. Ramaika has more than 33 years of tire industry experience, beginning with Bridgestone in 1980 as a sales coordinator. In 2009, he moved to Continental Tire the Americas L.L.C. as territory manager and left as a district sales manager for the northeast region.
Mr. Rozuk began his tire industry career in 1975 with General Tire & Rubber Co., CMA said. He spent nine years in sales and management for both retail and commercial operations before transitioning to Bridgestone in 1984. There he rose within the commercial division to national fleet sales manager in 2000.
In 2009, Mr. Rozuk became key account manager for commercial vehicle tires at Continental Tire.
CMA, the Monrovia-based subsidiary of China's Double Coin Holdings Ltd., said Messrs. Ramaika and Rozuk will be responsible for Double Coin fleet and OE sales throughout the U.S.
Bonilla joins MAM
ALLENTOWN, Pa.—MAM Software Inc. has appointed Lou Bonilla business development executive for its VAST Division.
Mr. Bonilla will be based in Newark, Del., and will be responsible for the VAST division's Northeast sales territory, MAM said.
Mr. Bonilla brings with him nine years of software sales experience with Integrated Software Solutions Inc., MAM said, as well as 10 years' experience in the automotive aftermarket as a Meineke Car Care Center franchisee. He was president of the Meineke Dealer Association in 2012.
Moore joins Coker
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn.—Specialty wheel and tire marketer Coker Group has appointed Marla Moore director of marketing.
Ms. Moore will oversee all marketing communication efforts for the company's brands involved in the collector car industry, Coker said, and reports directly to group Executive Vice President Wade Kaw-asaki on matters concerning advertising, public relations and sponsorships within the lifestyle and automotive enthusiast spheres.
Prior to joining the Coker Group, she served as the advertising director at Hypertech, a Bartlett, Tenn.-based company specializing in high-performance engine tuning for modern computer-controlled vehicles.
For more than 30 years Ms. Moore has been actively involved in the automotive aftermarket industry, using her expertise within the advertising and marketing segments to help advocate on behalf of the industry, according to Coker.
Ms. Moore's new role at Coker has her as the marketing head for more than 10 brands under the group's umbrella, including Coker Tire Co., Honest Charley Speed Shop, The Great Race, Coker Cycle Co., Phoenix Race Tires, M and H Racemaster, Pro-Trac Tire Co., Specialty Wheel, Roadster Wire Wheels and Wheel Vintiques.
Titan hires finance v.p.
QUINCY, Ill.—Titan International Inc. has hired Keith Fuglaar as vice president of finance for North America.
Mr. Fuglaar previously worked for The Egging Co., a privately held multi-location heavy manufacturing company, where he served as CFO. Prior to this, he was vice president of finance for ARC Automotive, corporate controller at HNTB Corp. and director-FP&A with McLeodUSA.
Pep Boys hires Sr. VP
PHILADELPHIA—Pep Boys - Manny, Moe & Jack has hired Chris Adams, previously chief operating officer at CarGroup Holdings L.L.C., to be its senior vice president, store operations,.
He will oversee the company's 19,000-plus store employees.
In his new position, Mr. Adams will be responsible for leading a “cultural change in our stores from transactional- to relationship-based customer service,” according to Pep Boys President and CEO Mike Odell.
As COO at CarGroup Holdings—which does business as webuy-any-car.com—Mr. Adams oversaw the launch of the U.S. operations of the United Kingdom-based car-buying service.
He began his career at Enterprise Rent-A-Car, Pep Boys said, where he progressed from a management trainee to being selected to open up and lead Enterprise's U.K. operations.
Between his tenures at Enterprise and CarGroup Holdings, Mr. Adams was COO of BabyPlus Co., a manufacturer and distributor of a prenatal education system, and Holland Partners, a developer and manager of multifamily communities.
Safety-Kleen gets prez
NORWELL, Mass.—Environmental services company Clean Harbors Inc. has named Jerry E. Correll president of its Safety-Kleen Environmental Services subsidiary.
Mr. Correll had been serving as Clean Harbors' executive vice president of environmental sales. He replaces Robert Craycraft, who has resigned “to pursue other opportunities,” the company said.
Norwell-based Clean Harbors acquired Safety-Kleen—which specializes in used oil recycling and re-refining, parts washing and other environmental services—in a $1.25 billion acquisition late in 2012.
Alan S. McKim, Clean Harbors CEO, said that over the past 11 years Mr. Correll “has taken on progressively larger roles at Clean Harbors.”
Mr. Correll spent more than 15 years at Safety-Kleen, serving as regional vice president, vice president of corporate accounts and senior vice president of sales, before joining Clean Harbors in 2002.
