PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla.TBC Corp. has hired Markus Hockenson, a senior vice president for Advance Auto Parts Inc., to be senior vice president, TBC company store operations, assuming many of the duties of Bill Ihnken, who is leaving TBC to pursue other interests.
Mr. Hockenson has more than 20 years' experience managing retail operations in the U.S. and United Kingdom, TBC said, during tenures with Enterprise Rent-a-Car, Starbucks Corp. and Advance, which he joined in 2008 as a vice president. He was promoted in 2012 to senior vice president, store operations for the nationwide auto parts retailer.
Prior to joining Advance, Mr. Hockenson spent three years with Starbucks and 12 with Enterprise.
Mr. Hockenson's duties at TBC will include overseeing the company's Tire Kingdom, National Tire and Battery (NTB) and Merchant's Tire and Auto Centers retail store operations.
Mr. Ihnken has elected to leave TBC after a 12-year career, during which he was president of retail, overseeing sales and operations for parent company TBC Corp.'s retail division, and chief operating officer. Prior to joining TBC, he was a regional vice president for Michel Tire, part of Morgan Tire & Auto Inc., and a vice president for Allied Tires.
