CYPRESS, Calif. (May 9, 2013) — Toyo Tire U.S.A. Corp. has been named the official tire of MFest.
MFest is a series of events held throughout the year that welcomes participation from high-end vehicle brands such as: BMW, Cadillac, Lexus, Mercedes Benz, Nissan and Porsche. The Cypress-based tire maker said its Toyo Proxes line of ultra-high-performance and competition tires are the "ideal fit" for MFest participants who desire the ultimate in performance, quality and style.
"MFest has developed into the ultimate gathering for high-end car enthusiasts and Toyo Tires is proud to be the official tire for 2013," said Stan Chen, manager of events and motorsports, Toyo.
"It is the ideal venue to show off the performance of our tires which include summer handling delivered by our Proxes 1 and Proxes T1-Sport UHP tires, road course precision with tires such as our Proxes R888 and new Proxes RR, and our dedicated Proxes TQ drag radial."
Toyo said the premiere event in the series is MFest VII on May 24-26 in Las Vegas, which includes various activities at the Las Vegas Speedway including an autocross, track driving on the infield road course, a drifting demonstration, an opportunity to compete on the drag strip, a car show and numerous display exhibits.
The company's logo will be included on event signage, posters, windshield stickers and official event apparel.
"With MFest, we want to push the boundaries each year for the enthusiast automotive lifestyle while striving to keep it a family oriented event," said Chris Naguit, event coordinator for MFest.
"Toyo Tires offers great quality and has positioned its brand as the perfect fit for our enthusiast lifestyle."
In addition to MFest VII and dealership tours, the series includes the "Showdown in Fontana" in mid-November, Toyo said, which follows the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show and provides an opportunity to introduce SEMA tuner vehicles to the general public at a track event.
