LAKELAND, Fla.óJames B. Paternostro, co-owner of All American Discount Tire L.L.C., died April 16, two days before his 68th birthday.

Mr. Paternostro was an Army veteran who served during the Vietnam War.

Mr. Paternostro and his wife Jane operated the Lakeland-based retail and automotive repair shop that is now being run by a close family friend, Tom Proctor.

He said he met Mr. Paternostro 35 years ago when they were both employees at Allied Tire in Orlando, Fla. Mr. Proctor told Tire Business that at one point All American Discount Tire had three locations but recently downsized to a single store.

Mrs. Paternostro is still involved with the dealership, handling payroll and accounting duties, and is the only family member still in the business, which has 10 employees.

Besides his wife, Mr. Paternostro is survived by his daughter Cathy Seeright and two grandchildren.
