PORTLAND, Maine (April 24, 2013) — Sullivan Tire & Auto Service has opened its 66th retail store, located in the Pine Tree Shopping Center in Portland.
Sullivan Tire said it purchased the property from Century Tire Co.—which closed the Portland store last August—and made "significant renovations" to it.
The 4,900-sq.-ft. location, Sullivan's 15th store in Maine and second in Portland, features six service bays and offers full-service auto repair. It will employ about 10-12 full-time employees, some of whom previously worked for Century Tire, Sullivan Tire said.
"We are thrilled to be expanding further into Maine and look forward to serving more of the Maine community," said Paul Sullivan, vice president of marketing for Sullivan Tire. "We've spent many months renovating the building and creating a state-of-the-art facility with a comfortable customer area with complimentary wi-fi access."
Sullivan Tire operates 66 retail locations and 15 Commercial Truck Tire Centers throughout Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Rhode Island.
