RANCHO MIRAGE, Calif. (April 19, 2013) — Integra Tire & Auto Centres Ltd. has named Bruce Stranaghan, owner of an Integra Tire-affiliated store in Kelowna, British Columbia, its inaugural Integra Tire Humanitarian.
Mr. Stranagahn was honored for his work and involvement with the Carma Project, a local volunteer effort that seeks to help low-income families obtain a reliable vehicle to get around Kelowna, which is described a a very "car-dependent" area.
"The Carma Project.... "What goes around comes around" is the Carma Project's motto. Mr. Stranaghan volunteers the use of his facility to get the project's vehicles repaired.
Integra Tire made the presentation at its fifth annual dealer meeting recently in Rancho Mirage, along with a number of sales-performance awards.
The Edmonton, Alberta-based retailer and marketing program sponsor hosted 170 dealers, family members, corporate staff and supplier sponsors.
Integra Tire has grown to more than 80 locations—including two in Ontario and four in the Atlantic Provinces—in the five years since its founding by David Cosco.
