ROME, Italy (April 18, 2013) — Trelleborg Wheel Systems S.p.A. has launched a 3D animated movie that tracks the evolution of farm tires through the life of a cricket "farmer" over the past five decades.
The 4-minute, 37-second film is available on YouTube via Trelleborg's social media channel, TrelleborgAgri.
Trelleborg said the film, created using up-to-date and sophisticated 3D animation techniques, tells the life story of a smart cartoon cricket that starts its own agricultural business and miniature farm. The story, which begins in 1955, follows the cricket farmer's journey through the ages, as it comes face-to-face with evolving tractor generations.
"After watching the adventures of our new animated character, we hope audiences appreciate the strong contribution and role of Trelleborg as an innovation pioneer in agriculture history," said Lorenzo Ciferri, marketing director agricultural and forestry tires at Trelleborg.
Trtelleborg said it debuted the film at the SIMA 2013 trade show in Paris at its booth, and gave visitors the chance to watch the movie with polarized glasses for "3D cinema." According to the company, more than 3,000 visitors watched the film.
"Our 3D film will allow our customers to experience an amazing journey and look at the performance of Trelleborg products from a totally different perspective. We wanted to bring advanced and modern entertainment tools into our business, with a goal of sharing the Trelleborg vision for the future of agriculture with farmers and contractors," Mr. Ciferri added.
