ROSEMONT, Ill. (April 15 2013) — The Aftermarket eForum will offer breakout sessions on technology challenges on its second day, May 23, according to the Automotive Aftermarket Industry Association (AAIA).
The breakout sessions, which will run concurrently from 8 to 9:30 a.m. and again from 10 to 11:30 a.m., will be on the following topics:
• Supply Chain Management—Rod Bayless of Epicor Software and representatives of ACDelco, Tenneco and Uni-Select will explain the impact of channel visibility and data warehouse tools on the total cost of inventory and supply chain.
• The ROI of B2B E-Commerce—Joe Register of Prescient Technologies and representatives of GCommerce, Auto-Wares and Standard Motor Products will explain in laymen's terms how to get started with applications of Web Service technology to automate parts inquiries and transactions while reducing transaction time and cost.
• Drafting Your Telematics Roadmap—Fred Blumer of Velcon will build on his May 22 keynote speech to provide practical advice on how to confront the connected car. Executives of NexTraq and PassTime USA will join Mr. Blumer in describing the aftermarket telematics solutions they created.
This year's eForum will be held at the Hyatt Regency O'Hare in Rosemont, in conjunction with the Global Automotive Aftermarket Symposium May 21-22. If you register for both events at the same time, you will save $250 over the cost of registering for both events separately, AAIA said. Proceeds from both conferences will benefit the Aftermarket Scholarship Fund.
