FORT COLLINS, Colo. (April 10, 2013) — The franchised Big O Tires stores in Fort Collins are sponsoring a "Project Smile" luncheon in connection with the "Driven for Kids" initiative that supports children's dental health in the Denver area.
The luncheon will take place at 11:30 a.m. April 19 at the Hilton Fort Collins.
Big O Tires has been supporting children in need through its "Driven for Kids" campaign since the inception of Project Smile—a children's dental care program—in 2006.
Driven for Kids is a partnership between Big O stores in Fort Collins and Project Smile where the dealership commits to providing Project Smile with a monetary donation each year, Big O said.
"Project Smile provides an essential service to our community's youth. Poor oral hygiene in children can lead to serious problems in adulthood while serving as a distraction in the classroom," said Jim Lautzenheiser, owner of Big O Tires in Fort Collins.
"At Big O Tires, we understand the need for an organization like Project Smile and we are committed to our 'Driven for Kids' campaign to support them."
"We need our kids to be healthy—they are our future," he added.
Big O said Project Smile grew out of a partnership between the North Fort Collins Business Association and Irish Elementary School. The program provides an opportunity for area businesses, organizations and individuals to sponsor children in serious need of dental care.
Big O is a "Life Changing Sponsor" of the event.
