AUBURN, N.H. (April 9, 2013) — Sullivan Tire & Auto Service has acquired Auburn Tire, an Auburn-based wholesaler that now becomes Sullivan's 12th wholesale distribution facility.
Former Auburn Tire Owner Mark Hilliard and his staff of four will continue to be employed by Sullivan Tire. Mr. Hilliard has more than thirty-five years of experience in the wholesale tire industry, with 20 of those at Auburn Tire, Sullivan Tire said.
Financial terms of the deal, which includes Auburn Tire's 12,000-sq.-ft. warehouse, were not disclosed.
The warehouse reopened April 1 as Sullivan Tire's 12th distribution facility, serving the dealership's wholesale customers in central and southern New Hampshire and northern Massachusetts.
The facility will have a staff of 15 employees and stock about 10,000 tires, the company said.
Sullivan Tire has 65 auto repair locations and 15 commercial truck tire centers throughout Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Connecticut, Rhode Island and Maine. It generated about 18 percent of its $248 million in sales if fiscal 2011 through its wholesale arm, according to the company.
