    Hankook Tire Europe GmbH is continuing its supply partnership with the Superstars and GT Sprint International Series.

    NEU-ISENBURG, Germany (April 8, 2013) — Hankook Tire Europe GmbH kicked off the Superstars and GT Sprint International Series 2013 race season in Monza, Italy, on April 6-7, and continues its partnership with the series.

    Hankook has been the exclusive supplier to both series since 2012 and said it has recently extended the tire partnership with race organizer SWR. Drivers rode on Hankook's Ventus Race tires in Italy at the Grand Prix track.

    The company said tires were supplied as slick (F200) and rain options (Z207) to both series. To meet the various specifications of the broad range of manufacturers on the grid, the Hankook Ventus race tires are available in size 260/660/18 for the Superstars and in 10 different sizes as 18- and 19-inch versions in the GT Sprint Series.

    "We are excited to continue our partnership with the FG Group who have established the Superstars World as one of the top-events in European motorsport." says Hee-Se Ahn, vice president marketing and sales for Hankook Tire Europe. "The 2012 season was nothing but a positive experience for Hankook and extremely successful for our Ventus Race tires…."

    Hankook said due to the heavy weight of the cars and challenging racing conditions, the tires are subject to high levels of mechanical and thermal stress—ranging from extremely hot temperatures on the track to highly aggressive kerbs. The Ventus race tires are developed, tested and built to deliver premium performance even under the most challenging circumstances, Hankook said, and combine consistency, handling, reliability and maximum safety, providing optimal ground contact for cornering, grip and durability.

    The race calendar for remainder of 2013 includes:

    •May 18-19—Brno, Czech Republic;

    •June 8-9—Slovakiaring, Slovakia;

    • June 22-23—Zolder, Belgium;

    • July 20-21—Portimao, Portugal;

    Aug. 31-Sept. 1—Donington, United Kingdom;

    • Sept. 28-29—Imola, Italy; and

    • Oct. 12-13—Vallelunga, Italy.
