LOUISVILLE, Ky. (March 26, 2013) — Boss Truck Shops Inc. has joined the Michelin Commercial Service Network, a move that adds Boss's 41 locations to the Michelin ONCall emergency road-service and brings Michelin-brand retreaded truck tires to the Boss network.
Boss Truck Shops, a unit of Grand Island, Neb.-based Bosselman Companies, already is part of Goodyear's Uni-Maxx Truck Care on-highway service network, having joined that program in July 2011.
The addition of Boss Truck Shops' 41 locations in 23 states expands the Michelin Commercial Service Network to more than 530 locations across the U.S., Michelin said.
Through the network, Michelin also provides fleet customers with a comprehensive service package that includes online reporting, electronic operating manuals and a catalog of web-based training on maintenance standards and practices.
Boss Truck Shops will now carry Michelin's full line of commercial tires, including the X One wide-based singles and selected Michelin Retread Technologies (MRT) retread products, Michelin said.
"We have always had an excellent relationship with Michelin," said Charlie Bosselman, president of Bosselman Companies and Boss Truck Shops, "so joining the network and adding the retread product offering at all of our 41 shops makes that partnership even stronger. We looked forward to being an integral part of the network."
Ted Becker, vice president of marketing for Michelin Americas Truck Tires, said, "Fleets now have access to additional locations across the country that use the same standards and tools to service commercial vehicles."
Besides Boss Truck Shops, family-owned Bosselman Companies operates: 49 Pump & Pantry convenience stores; the Bosselman Travel Center; a Hampton Inn, three Pump & Pantry Motels, two Settle Inns and six Motel 6 franchises; six Grandma Max's and Max's Highway Diner Restaurants, Sam Bass' Saloon & Steakhouse and Schmooter's Bar & Casino; and the Nebraska Danger Indoor Professional Football Team.
