DURSLEY, England (March 15, 2013) — Tire management software provider Cam Systems Ltd. is joining tire safety promoter TyreSafe, which includes among its supporters car and tire manufacturers, retailers, emergency services and public sector organizations.
CAM Systems supplies data and software to the tire industry. Its products and services are used by more than 4,300 individual users in the UK and Republic of Ireland, according to the company.
The company is the architect of the "Online Tyre Catalogue," which contains nearly 65,000 articles from more than 120 manufacturers.
It is offered free-of-charge to the industry for reference, and to consumers, with a view to promoting informed decisions on tire choice.
TyreSafe is a non-profit established in 2006 to raise awareness about the dangers associated with defective or illegal tires. TyreSafe receives support from many areas of industry, including most major tire manufacturers, retailers and wholesalers, some associated equipment suppliers and a number of vehicle manufacturers.
