OAKLAND PARK, Fla. (March 12, 2013) — Tesco of America International Inc. has signed an exclusive sales and support agreement with retread equipment supplier Italmatic S.r.l. of Milan, Italy, covering the U.S., Central and South America and the Caribbean.

The pact covers service parts, support and sales of the Italmatic line of OTR, truck and passenger tire retreading equipment.

"Italmatic is also a family business and have been manufacturing an extremely high quality of equipment for passenger, truck, OTR and aviation since 1966," said Daniel Bermúdez Zeledón, a principle at Tesco.

"They are also passionate about what they do and take a lot of pride in what they manufacturer."

Mr. Zeledón said that Italmatic now offers remote access to all of its automated equipment, which means Tesco customers "will have 24/7/365 service from trouble shooting a problem to programming the equipment."

"They also invested a lot of money by establishing their own electronics company to build all their electronic panels and components," he continued.

Italmatic also has added 160,000 square feet of additional manufacturing space, Mr. Zeledón said.

A 63-inch OTR buffer is the newest addition to the company's line of builders, presses, autoclaves, moulds, mini extruders, buffing blades and carbides.

"Since we service what we sell and rebuild all the equipment mentioned with warranties, we felt we needed a new line of retreading equipment to offer our customers as well," Mr. Zeledón said. "There is a shortage of good used retreading equipment, so the market now is needing a quality line of equipment with the support to back it up.

"All in all, Italmatic and Tesco have a great synergy and what I call PEP—Passion, Energy and Patience."

Tesco will exhibit at the Autopromotec Expo in May in Bologna, Italy, and also at the Latin America/Caribbean Tire Expo in Panama on July 23.
