Monroe, Mich. — Tenneco Inc. is planning to expand its Monroe Ride & Drive program, taking the seminar to several key industry training schools, including the upcoming VISION Hi-Tech Training Expo in Kansas City, Mo.
Now in its 12th year, the program was designed to help technicians identify the characteristics and differences between worn and properly functioning ride control components and to recognize the impact these components have on overall vehicle safety, Tenneco said.
The 2013 Monroe Ride & Drive program features enhanced curriculum, including new ride control trends, exclusive training in innovative undercar technologies and a hands-on ride-and-drive training session. The experience is meant to provide service technicians an opportunity to compare steering, stopping and stability characteristics in vehicles fitted with worn OE ride control components and new Monroe-brand replacement parts.
"We're proud to continue to offer such a critical educational initiative to the aftermarket," said Chuck Osgood, manager of training and sales operations, North American aftermarket, Tenneco. "It's such a small investment of time compared to the remarkable value you'll bring back to your customers."
The 2013 program tour schedule includes 45 stops within the U.S. and Canada. A full schedule can be found on the "events" page on Monroe's website. Registration also can be completed online.
