OMAHA, Neb. (March 5, 2013) — Allied Oil & Tire Co., a Michelin Retread Technologies (MRT) affiliate since 1998, recently produced its 1 millionth truck tire retread using the MRT process at its plant in Omaha.
Allied Oil was among the first independent U.S. retreaders to convert its retreading business to MRT. Its plant in Omaha is the only hybrid MRT plant—mold-cure and precure production together—in the Midwest.
With a daily production of about 270 units, Allied Oil ranks among the 15 largest MRT retreaders and 40 largest truck tire retreaders in North America.
Michelin's "guidance, technology and support has moved Allied from a basic provider of a standard retread to one with the highest quality in the nation," said Allied President Steve Phillips.
"This milestone speaks volumes about our commitment to customer satisfaction and producing industry-leading retreads," said plant manager Don Roberts.
