RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif. (March 1, 2013) — Rick Brennan, former vice president of marketing for Kumho Tire U.S.A. Inc., has joined Falken Tire Corp. as the company's executive director of product strategy.
In his new position, Mr. Brennan will play a key role in working with Falken's technical group to monitor and drive product development needs and to help coordinate the tire maker's go-to-market strategy for new and existing product lines, said Andrew Hoit, Falken's vice president of marketing.
While Falken Tire has specialized in ultra-high-performance products for many years, the company has significantly increased its product portfolio, adding broad-line products such as the high-mileage, T-rated Sincera SN211 touring tire and light truck products in both the Wildpeak H/T and Wildpeak A/T patterns. The company said its market coverage has grown from 65 percent of the sizes in North America to more than 90 percent.
"As we have continued to expand our product offerings and provide incremental value to our customer base, we thought it was only natural to expand our product expertise," Mr. Hoit said. "We are excited to welcome Rick Brennan to the Falken Tire family."
