Tire Business reporter Jennifer Karpus interviewed John Gottschalk and Kate Bullach of FordDirect, which is a joint venture between Ford Motor Company and its franchised dealers to help create a Web presence for dealers. FordDirect conducted a survey that found consumers prefer auto dealers who engage in online conversations.

Mr. Gottschalk spoke about tips for a dealer who wants to start engaging their customers online and also how a business can implement that strategy into its everyday schedule.

Although the data was compiled for auto dealers, many of the statistics are relevant for tire dealers.
