NORWELL, Mass. (Feb. 20, 2013) — Sullivan Tire & Auto Service is helping drive donations to two New England food pantries this winter.
Sullivan Tire said until March 11, its Hyannis, Mass., outlet, at 55 Airport Road, and Manchester, N.H., store, located at 921 South Willow Street, will be collecting non-perishable food items for the First Baptist Church Food Pantry and New Horizons for New Hampshire Pantry, respectively. Anyone bringing in a donation will receive a coupon for $10 off any auto service at the dealership.
"It's certainly been a long, cold winter, and even more so for families who are struggling financially," said Mark Gillard, a member of the Sullivan marketing team. "This is an easy way for residents to help support a great community resource while also saving a little money on their next auto service."
The First Baptist pantry serves the Barnstable, Yarmouth and Mashpee areas by offering a variety of essential food products to families in need, according to Sullivan Tire. New Horizons for New Hampshire Inc. is a soup kitchen, pantry and shelter serving over 200 meals daily and providing groceries to 900 families each month.
"This is a very exciting opportunity for New Horizons to partner with such a wonderful family owned business like Sullivan Tire," said Charlie Sherman, executive director of New Horizons for New Hampshire. "The Sullivan family has a long history of supporting local non-profit organizations and this effort comes at a time when the need is greater than ever."
