STOKE-ON-TRENT, England (Feb. 13, 2013) — Group Michelin has appointed Gordon Brookes agricultural division technical manager for the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland.
Mr. Brookes, who takes over the post from Laurent Mozziconacci, moves from the original equipment side of Michelin's truck division, where he spent five years as OE sales manager. He joined Michelin in 1987 as a multi-product line sales manager and after six years he moved into the agricultural division. In 2006, he joined the truck division, looking after the tire requirements of some of the company's biggest customers, Michelin said in a news release.
"When this opportunity came up, I thought it was too good to miss. I have a long history with Michelin and an extensive background and interest in agriculture specifically," Mr. Brookes said.
He will manage all the technical elements of Michelin's agricultural product range, the company said, dealing with tires for a wide range of farm machinery from tractors to combine harvesters, and sprayers to telehandlers.
Mr. Mozziconacci returns to Michelin's headquarters in Clermont-Ferrand, France, to assume his new position as off-road tire specialist within the firm's truck tire division.
