MONROE, Mich. (Feb. 13, 2013) — Tenneco Inc. will bring its popular Monroe Ride & Drive program and Walker Emissions Control Diagnostics Workshop to the 2013 VISION Hi-Tech Training & Expo show, taking place March 7-10 at the Overland Park Convention Center in Overland Park, Kan.
The Monroe Ride & Drive gives technicians a chance to compare the steering, stopping and stability characteristics of vehicles with worn OE ride control components against those with new Monroe-brand replacement components, Tenneco said.
Shop owners and service and parts professionals can participate in the program at VISION from 3-7 p.m. on March 7 or from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. March 8-9. Pre-registration for the event is recommended but not required, Tenneco said. Those interested can register online at Tenneco's events website.
The Walker Emissions Control Diagnostics Workshop is a seminar designed to help technicians provide fast and accurate diagnoses related to PO420 codes and other emissions control problems, the company said. After the workshop, participants will have a chance to follow a diagnosis strategy for converter codes and emissions failures; isolate causes of converter failure; and test engine fueling, breathing and other variables that affect converter operation.
The three-hour workshop is available March 9 beginning at 8:45 a.m. Participants are required to register ahead of time online at the VISION website.
