UNIONTOWN, Ohio (Feb. 12, 2013) — Hankook Tire America Corp. has named Thomas Kenny its vice president of technology and head of its Akron Technical Center in Uniontown.
Mr. Kenny is succeeding Ray Labuda, who recently retired from the position after 20 years.
Hankook said Mr. Kenny will be managing various aspects of work at the tech center including development, testing and research for Hankook's line of passenger car, light truck, original equipment and truck and bus tires sold in the U.S.
The Wayne, N.J.-based tire marketer said Mr. Kenny has more than 30 years' experience in the tire industry, including 18 of which were spent at the Akron Technical Center. He previously spent 14 years in tire development and four years as manager, tire development and engineering, at the tech center.
