"The 2012 Petty's Garage Performance Tour was a fantastic avenue for spreading the ALI vehicle lift safety message across the country. We saw a significant increase in traffic to our website and Facebook page as a result of the exposure our 'Your Safety Is Riding On It' message got on the tour," said Robert O'Gorman, president and CEO of the ALI.
"We're happy to be back this year as we launch our ALI Lift Inspector Certification Program. The tour gives us the chance to build on the excitement Richard Petty helped us create when he appeared at our kickoff event at the SEMA Show in November."
ALI said its relationship with Petty's Garage started in 2005, when Richard and Kyle Petty teamed up to host ALI's Lifting It Right DVD lift safety training program. ALI also sponsors the Petty's Garage annual Spring Fling Car Show.
"The Performance Tour is our opportunity to bring Petty's Garage from Randleman, N.C., where it all started for me and my family, directly to our fans at events around the country," Richard Petty said. "We appreciate our partners, including ALI, Continental Tire and Forgeline Wheels, making it possible for us to connect with fellow car enthusiasts at great events like the Hot Rod Power Tour, Goodguys and select races."
