BOWIE, Md. (Feb. 11, 2013) — The Tire Industry Association (TIA) has hired Donna Sage as director of marketing and communications, filling a post left vacant by the departure a few months ago of Mark Cook, who had been director of communications from October 2011.
Ms. Sage has more than 20 years' experience in the marketing field, according to TIA. Most recently, she served as marketing director for Big Vanilla Athletic Club, a chain of health clubs serving more than 20,000 members, according to her LinkedIn page.
As well as marketing expertise, Ms. Sage has extensive experience in fundraising, public relations and event planning, TIA said. She received her bachelor's degree in business administration and marketing from Villanova University, and her master's degree from Ohio State University.
In a press release, TIA Executive Vice President Roy Littlefield praised Ms. Sage's skills and experience.
"TIA has a deep and rich tradition of excellence in training and government affairs," Mr. Littlefield said. "We're confident that Donna is the right person to help us communicate that story to the industry and help us expand our reach."
