RICHMOND, Va. (Feb. 5, 2013) — Tireteam.com, an "online savings hub" for tires operated by wholesaler Terry's Tire Town, has added five new certified tire dealer locations in Virginia to its roster.
Alliance, Ohio-based Terry's Tire said tireteam.com customers in Henrico, Richmond City and Hanover counties in Virginia can now purchase name-brand tires online at "unbeatable warehouse prices" through the company's distribution center, then have their orders delivered to a certified dealership for installation. Tireteam.com's new partnership locations in the state include Pepperhill Tire Service Inc. in Ashland; Complete Automotive of Richmond in Glen Allen; Tirex Inc. in Richmond; and Allen Tire in both Richmond and Westover Heights.
In launching the website last fall, Terry's described the concept as seeking "to combine tire shoppers' increasing reliance on the Internet to research purchases with recommendations for completing their purchases at qualified local brick-and-mortar stores."
Terry's said at the time of the launch that more than 300 dealers in its marketing territory throughout the eastern U.S. and the Midwest were participating in the tireteam.com network "and the number is expected to grow rapidly."
All tireteam.com certified dealers handle name-brand tires including Michelin, BF Goodrich, Uniroyal, Goodyear, Dunlop, Kelly, Bridgestone, Firestone, Continental, General, Kumho, Mastercraft and Yokohama, according to Terry's Tire.
Tireteam's direct-to-dealer installation program allows the company "to offer tires at low, affordable prices, with fast, convenient service that others just can't beat," it said in a press release.
"At tireteam.com, the goal is that customers can choose the best tire for their budget, needs and vehicle. Their experienced team of tire experts can help with all of their customer's tire needs."
The company said it recently revamped its "customer-friendly" website, which features a tire buying guide and dealer locator.
