Titan recasts exec roles in Europe unit

QUINCY, Ill.—Titan International Inc. has made several international executive appointments related to the acquisition and integration of Titan Europe P.L.C.

In the wheel group, Titan has named Chris Akers, managing director of Titan Steel Wheels Ltd. since 2008, to oversee Titan Europe's wheel operations, reporting to Titan Wheel President Dave Salen.

Cecilia LaManna, an executive director for Titan Europe since 2001, has been named CEO of ITM—Titan Europe's undercarriage business group. She reports to Titan International Chairman and CEO Maurice Taylor Jr.

Gary Chesterton, group finance director, will be vice president of finance for all European operations and report to Paul Reitz, chief financial officer of Titan International.

Titan also announced that Titan Europe's wheel group units in South Africa, Australia, Peru, Chile, Indonesia, Russia and Canada will report to the Titan Mining Services group, headed by Paul Hawkins, executive vice president of Titan Mining Services.

Additionally, Titan Europe CEO J. Michael Akers will be working with Mr. Taylor and the Titan International board on various acquisitions

Richard Rose, vice president of sales and marketing, will be reviewing the sales and marketing staff during the first quarter to maximize synergies between the organizations.

Titan International said it believes this new alignment positions Titan Europe for growth, including expansion of various market shares.
