ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Cumulus Computing, a designer and manufacturer of products for mobile devices and the cloud computing industry, has launched the Auto Service App designed for independent repair shops.
Available for $49 per month, the app is offered as a SaaS, (Software as a Service), allowing customers to use smart phones or tablets to make service appointments, receive reminders, view coupons, get directions and review vehicle history. The shop owners can add new services and products, push coupons to their customers' phones, adjust prices and hours and add seasonal services, such as winter tires and air-conditioning maintenance, the company said.
The app is customized for each business using its logo and branding. Included in the package is the account set up, app manager and creative design and graphics for the mobile applications, custom customer counter display with 100 specific flyers for the app and deployment to both the iTunes store and Android marketplace/Google Play.
The system requires no updates or specific hardware by the business owner and offers an analytics tool as part of the package, the company said. Businesses can use any web browser to receive incoming email service requests and make updates.
The Auto Service App package includes: account setup for the App Manager; a free widget to allow online web appointments; creative design for all graphics needed for the mobile applications and submission to markets, using business logos and branding; development of the business's iPhone and Android mobile applications; Geo tracking which provides customers' smart phones with directions and distance to the dealership location; a custom countertop display; 100 custom flyers with app information for display with refills available; ability to add and service multiple locations; and an analytics tool.
