DURAND, Wis.—Bauer Built Inc. has promoted Tad Bauer to president, effective Jan. 1, while his father and former president Jerry Bauer will remain with the company as chairman and CEO.
Tad Bauer started his career at Bauer Built more than 22 years ago on June 4, 1990, doing janitorial services and other miscellaneous jobs in the company's Durand retread shop, Bauer Built said.
He is a stockholder and a member of the Bauer Built board of directors and serves as the company's COO and executive vice president of the Tire Division.
After graduating in 1998 from the University of Wisconsin-Stout in Menomonie, Wis., Mr. Bauer moved to Cedar Rapids, Iowa, where he took over as assistant store manager at the company's Cedar Rapids location, Bauer Built said.
He then held various positions with the company until he was promoted to his current position in 2009.
