REDMOND, Wash. (Jan. 2, 2012) — Discount Tire/America's Tire opened store No. 850 shortly before Christmas, a six-bay Discount Tire facility in Redmond.
It is the dealership's 15th store in the Seattle metro area and 32nd in Washington.
The Redmond store is one of five stores Scottsdale, Ariz.-based Discount Tire opened in the past several weeks. The others are in Paso Robles, Calif.; Meridian and Nampa, Idaho; and Baxter, Minn.
James Mulvaney, an 18-year Discount Tire employee, manages the Redmond store and its 10 employees.
The Paso Robles America's Tire store is managed by Brian Wheat, a 15-year Discount Tire employee. The six-bay store, with seven employees, is the dealership's first in that community and 133rd in California.
The Meridian and Nampa locations are the second and third Discount Tire stores opened in Idaho in 2012 and fourth overall in the state.
Greg Wood, a 13-year company veteran, manages the Meridan store and its 16 employees, while 12-year company veteran Michael Vester oversees the Nampa store and its six employees.
Jason Diaz, a 15-year Discount Tire veteran, manages the store in Baxter and its nine employees. It's the dealership's 27th store in Minnesota.
Discount Tire opened 32 stores in 2012, giving it 850 stores in 23 states. The dealership has no presence thus far in the Northeast and throughout most of the Great Plains states.
The new stores, like all Discount Tire locations, are open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and are closed on Sunday.
