NORTHVILLE, Mich. — Friction materials manufacturer Fras-le North America Inc. has launched an air disc brake pad program for the North American aftermarket.

The new program, an expansion of the company's “World Truck and Fleet Disc Brake Pad Program” it launched in May, is sold under the Extreme Service brand and includes 11 part numbers covering more than 59 applications, the company said.

Fras-le said its pads are made of OE-quality materials and offer reliable, quiet and durable performance. The line of asbestos-free pads was developed especially to meet the needs of heavy-duty and commercial vehicles. The pads meet the European ECE-R90 quality standard of performance, the company said.

With the portfolio expansion, Fras-le offers a complete line of hydraulic and air disc brake pads for 1c-8 vehicles.

“We are proud to bring our line of air disc brake pads for commercial vehicles to the North American aftermarket,” said Rodrigo Meirelles, Fras-le North America's vice president and general manager. “This portfolio expansion demonstrates our commitment to be the primary source for OE quality aftermarket brake pads for work trucks in North America.”
