A company spokesman said the first 150 Goodyear employees moved into renovated space in the Innovation Center in the past week, as renovation continues on the center, which also will be completed early next year.
Last November construction crews on the tire maker's new headquarters topped out the $110 million building's steel framework, which will be home for Goodyear's global operations and its North American Tire business unit and house about 2,000 employees. The structure will connect with the existing Innovation Center—home to more than 800 employees—and serve as a central campus for the company.
The seven-story, 639,000-sq.-ft. headquarters will replace Goodyear's 85-year old headquarters located nearby.
