AAIA announces speakers for Aftermarket eForum

CHICAGO (March 23, 2012)—Gary Shapiro, CEO and president of the Consumer Electronics Association, will be the keynote speaker at the Automotive Aftermarket Industry Association's (AAIA) Aftermarket eForum at the Hyatt Regency O'Hare near Chicago July 17-18.

Mr. Shapiro, author of the bestseller The Comeback: How Innovation Will Restore the American Dream, will discuss the convergence of consumer electronics and the automotive industry, the AAIA said.

Other speakers at the eForum include:

  • Joseph LaFier, senior vice president and CEO of Polk, who will discuss his company's recent transformation of its information technology infrastructure;

  • Ray Reulbach, vice president, consumer solutions for UPS, who will discuss his company's solution development and delivery activities for the auto manufacturing sector; and

  • Michael Chagrin, of the U.S. Department of Transportation and the Intelligent Transportation Society of America, who will explain national programs and policies that will have a lasting impact on the auto industry and the aftermarket.
