BEIJING (June 26, 2012) — China's tire industry produced 336 million tyres in the first five months of 2012, an increase of 4 percent over the same period a year ago, according to a report by the China Rubber Industry Association.
Radial tire production grew by 8.6 percent to 168.5 million units
Production during May alone rose 2.8 percent to 76.6 million tires, the CRIA said. Radial tire production reached 37.1 million units, an increase of 13 percent over the same period a year ago.
