POTOSI, Mo. (June 22, 2012) — Purcell Tire & Rubber Co. recently has made several staffing changes, hiring a new chief financial officer and regional manager and promoting several other key personnel.

The company recently hired Becky Mumma as its chief financial officer. Ms. Mumma's career path has included stints at top-tier public accounting firm Motorola Inc., Isle of Capri Casinos and Invaluable Solutions L.L.C. Her experience includes internal auditing, financial reporting, corporate accounting, mergers and acquisitions, internal finance, treasury risk management and manufacturing.

In 2007, Ms. Mumma was honored by the St. Louis Business Journal as one of the top 25 “Most Influential Business Women” in St. Louis.

Purcell Tire also hired Kelly Conroy as a key account executive and region manager for its East commercial region. Mr. Conroy came to the company after 18 years with Bridgestone Bandag Tire Solutions, formerly Bandag Inc., where he held various titles including sales development manager, regional fleet manager and strategic account manager.

In addition, the company has promoted six existing employees within the company:

    • Cody Spencer, former mining division account manager, will now be vice president of Purcell's Global Mining Group (GMG) division. Having formerly spent six years as a mining division account manager in Fairbanks, Alaska., Mr. Spencer recently relocated to Tucson, Ariz., to oversee the company's mining operations globally.

    • Reece Shelton, originally hired by Purcell Tire as a commercial sales person in 2008, has been named account manager for GMG in Alaska. He will be in charge of all Alaska-region mine accounts.

    • Marc Boley was promoted to region manager, west retail region after three years as a store manager for one of Purcell's retail outlets in Phoenix. Under his new title, he will be in charge of nearly 20 retail outlets.

    • Sam Ungricht, who began his employment with Purcell Tire 31 years ago as a commercial salesperson, has been named senior vice president, national sales and global mining. Over the years, he has held roles as sales manager, commercial store manager, region manager and senior vice president. He is now responsible for operations for the company's retail, wholesale, commercial and GMG divisions.

    • Gene Williams, who spent the last 21 years as an OTR salesperson for Purcell, has been named vice president, OTR retread sales.

    • Matt Johnson, a 19-year tire industry veteran, has been named vice president of GMG. Mr. Johnson has experienced many facets of the tire industry, including tire repair, retail and commercial tire sales, driving a service truck and management roles at the store, district and regional level. In his new position, he will be responsible for maintaining mining accounts and increasing the company's mining business on a global scale.
