BROADVIEW, Ill. (April 30, 2012) — The Bosch Group has launched its 2012 advertising and promotional campaign for its premium performance DistancePlus oil filter line for do-it-yourselfers.
The campaign will include advertisements online and in DIY-oriented print media, as well as promotional rebates to achieve a goal of 80 million impressions in the DIY market segment, according to Bosch.
Bosch DistancePlus oil filters are designed to capture and hold 300 percent more dirt than some economy filters on the market with a 99.9-percent efficiency in capturing particles that are 20 microns or larger, according to the company.
The four-month print ad campaign, scheduled to run May through August, will promote a $3 mail-in rebate. The tongue-in-cheek ads feature rodents and other large objects presumably captured by a Bosch DistancePlus oil filter. The ads target male automotive enthusiasts and upscale DIY and DIFM car owners, such as those who read Car & Driver, Road & Track and Popular Mechanics, Bosch said.
