TBC Corp.'s Carroll Tire Co. subsidiary has acquired Eldorado Tire Co. of Kentucky's wholesale and distribution operations, consisting of distribution centers located in Knoxville, Tenn., and Louisville.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Carroll Tire has integrated the centers into its operations. TBC said it will continue to serve customers in Kentucky, northern Tennessee, southern Indiana and southern Ohio.
“The acquisition of Eldorado of Kentucky is another strategic addition to TBC and Carroll Tire,” said Erik Olsen, chief operating officer of TBC, who added that Eldorado of Kentucky had been a “significant customer” of TBC's Treadways unit—owner of the Eldorado tire brand—for more than 40 years.
Carroll Tire will expand Eldorado of Kentucky's product offerings to include TBC's product portfolio.
TBC did not comment on the size of the Eldorado warehouses or the business's sales or employees. Online business directories identify Chuck Kaiser as the owner of Eldorado Tire.
Carroll Tire now operates 42 wholesale distribution centers in 18 states, including its first in Kentucky.
