COPLEY, Ohio (Feb. 23, 2012) — The Tire and Rim Association (TRA) has named former Kumho Tire USA Inc. motorsports manager Rudy Consolacion its engineering manager.
Mr. Consolacion is responsible for coordinating TRA meetings; administering International Standards Organization tire, rim and valve activities; developing U.S. positions on ISO ballots and proposals; creating and maintaining TRA engineering programs; and coordinating industry standards with other related organizations and stakeholders.
“Rudy is a great addition to our organization,” said TRA Executive Vice President Joe Pacuit. “He has extensive engineering experience in the industry, is well-connected in the tire world and is passionate about our business.”
Mr. Consolacion spent 13 years with Kumho Tires, where he developed high-performance product lines for OE and replacement markets and managed Kumho's motorsports programs. Prior to that, he was with Goodyear for nine years in passenger tire engineering.
The TRA is the standardizing body for tire, rim and valve manufacturers in the U.S., and thus coordinates the nation's position on international standards for tires, rims and valves and interacts with other industry and government organizations.
