SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (Jan. 11, 2011) — Discount Tire Co. Inc. (DTC) opened four stores in December and late November, pushing its store network to 819 locations in 23 states.
The latest store openings were in Loganville, Ga.; Asheville, N.C.; Brooklyn Park, Minn.; and Evansville, Ind.
Nick Stenzel, a 12-year DTC employee, is managing the store in Loganville, the dealership's 25th outlet in Georgia. It has six employees.
Nine-year DTC employee Timothy Pittman is managing the Asheville store and its 18 employees. It is Discount Tire's 27th outlet in North Carolina but first in the Asheville area.
Danny Thompson manages the Brooklyn Park location, DTC's 24th in Minnesota—all but four of which are in the greater Minneapolis-St. Paul metro area. The new store has four employees.
Matthew Helton, an 18-year DTC employee, is managing the Evansville store, Discount's 22nd in Indiana but first in the southern part of the state. He oversees nine employees.
All of the new locations have six service bays and are open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and closed on Sunday.
The company sells leading brands such as Goodyear, Michelin, Bridgestone, Yokohama, Kumho, BFGoodrich, Pirelli, Hankook, Falken, along with Discount Tire exclusive brands including Silver Edition and Roadhugger. The dealership also offers wheels from Enkei, Konig, Liquidmetal, TSW, Akuza and exclusive brands including MB Wheels and G-games.
