    Bead breakers

AME International has redesigned its AME 11075 Maxi Bead Breaker which features added stroke and longer feet for ease of breaking demounting large OTR tires.

The bead breaker is designed to work on newer style “3-piece wheels,” according to the Brooksville, Fla.-based company.

AME is also offering the #17200 upgrade kit that provides longer feet for aluminum bead breakers. The attachments can be used on 23.5X25, 26.5x25 and 29.5x25 tires on 3-piece wheels, the company said.

AME said its main focus has been on the front-end loader tire market and about 40 percent of its business has been in the international/export commercial market.

    Removable wheel colors

Diablo Wheels has introduced interchangeable wheel caps that allow vehicle owners to customize the look of their wheels with graphics and reflective colors.

The Reflection X color caps clip onto the wheel spokes and can feature custom colors and designs, including logos. Vinyl artwork can be applied to the hidden back of a floating insert. The art is then reflected onto the chrome spoke.

Graphics appear to float & move similar to a hologram, according to the company. The vinyl artwork can then be peeled off and replaced.

    Scissors lift

BendPak Inc. has modified its Quatra scissors lifts to accommodate a wide variety of wheel bases.

The extended-length Quatra XR-12000A is designed for vehicle alignments and general service work, including four-wheel alignments on vehicles ranging from full-size work trucks to modern mini cars.

The Quatra lifts feature extendable, hinged, collapsible, and stowable approach ramps, which offer a range of motion from 56 inches to 79 inches in overall length. The lift features a 12,000-pound lifting capacity and a vertical lift for a more compact footprint to accommodate small service bays and work areas, the company said.

    Synthetic filter

Affinia Group has unveiled the premium WIX XP filter line for synthetic oils. The filter incorporated technology used in racing and off-highway applications, according to the company.

The filter features wire-backed synthetic media, a silicone anti-drainback valve, an anodized baseplate and an upgraded can for the passenger car and light truck market.

The filter is expected to be available late in the first quarter.
